The heater for your vehicle is important to help keep you and your passengers warm and comfortable. Besides the comfort, having a working heater is important for your safety as well. If the heater is not properly working, then the windshield will get fogged over. This will then lead to poor visibility, as well as a safety hazard. You will want to make sure that all the vents, and defrost are producing warm air. If one is clogged, the air will not be able to reach inside the cabin. You will want to make sure to contact us and schedule an appointment. Especially anytime there is an issue with the heating system.
Start the Heater
When you start your vehicle in the morning, one of the first things to do is to turn on the heater and defroster of your vehicle. This will help to warm up the windshield of your vehicle, as well as the interior. If there is ice, sleet, or frost, then using the defroster will help to warm up the exterior and remove the ice. It will also help to make it easier to scrape off with the ice scraper. If your vehicle has a rear defrost, you will also want to turn that on and use that as well.
It is always best to have an issue fixed at the first sign, rather than wait until it becomes a larger issue. You may notice the heater operating correctly, but then starting to blow cooler air. If this is the case, have this fixed and resolved as soon as possible. Over time the cooler air will increase more and more. It will be best to make sure that we inspect the vehicle and heating system to notice what the issue might be. One it is fixed, you can get back to having a warm and comfortable ride for in your vehicle.
